Renting a vehicle requires:
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Blandford, you must be at least 21 years old. Age restrictions may differ depending on the vehicle type, with extra fees applicable for drivers under 25. A valid driving licence for the appropriate vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of current address. You will also need to provide valid payment information and a security deposit, as well as meet any further criteria outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Blandford office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are generally required upon vehicle pickup. All rates are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. You will be held accountable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that occur during the rental period, in addition to an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms

You may have the option to purchase additional insurance to lower your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You are liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance is obtained. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.
Cancellations and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful purposes or activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-road driving, or any other dangerous pursuits. Transporting hazardous materials or subletting the vehicle to others is prohibited. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, the vehicle should not be used for purposes it was not intended for, nor should it exceed passenger or weight limits. Operating the vehicle outside the specified geographical boundaries without prior authorization is not allowed.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Blandford will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the relevant courts in this region.
